Orchards Community…
Sometimes it can be really difficult for us to wrap our minds around the truth that what we read in God’s Word is flesh and blood historical reality. Admittedly it can be hard for us to feel the impact of the miracles Jesus performed. When we were together on Sunday we looked at one of Jesus’ miracles (found in John 4) from a first-person perspective. When we take the time to really think about the emotions that would be involved in these stories, we gain a better appreciation for the kind of savior Jesus is. If you weren’t able to be with us for our last gathering – I’d encourage you to check it out at the website if you have the opportunity: www.orchardscommunitychurch.com
Depending on when you get this email, it might not be too late to sign up for our Day of Prayer Initiative scheduled for Wednesday, March 3. The time-slots are filling up, but there are still some open as the day quickly approaches. Go to the website, click on the “A House of Prayer,” link and get signed up! Please join us as we pray that God would continue to transform lives through the ministry of the Orchards Community.
It’s March! It doesn’t quite feel like spring yet, but the calendar says March – so we’ll take solace in that. The month of March is filled with opportunities to Celebrate, Connect, and Contribute at the Orchards. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming up:
* Day of Prayer Initiative – All 24 Hours – March 3, 2010
* House Churches continue to meet. There are now five options up and running – get plugged in. For more information contact Pastor Hossler – jeffhossler@sbcglobal.net
* Youth @ 6:01 back to normal time and place this Sunday Night – Band resumes on Saturday at 9 AM.
* Family Fun Bowling Night at Hideaway Lanes in Almont on Friday, March 12
* Celebration of Life - for the new additions to the Orchards… Sunday, March 14
As we move into March we will continue our BELIEVE series through the Gospel of John leading up to the events of the Passion Week culminating in our celebration of Easter on Sunday, April 4. We have had a great start to this time in the book of John and look forward to continuing our time there together – We’ll pick up where we left off this weekend: Sunday at 9 & 10:30 AM.
It will really be special to be in prayer for the Orchards tomorrow knowing that so many others will also be lifting up our Community of Faith to the Father tomorrow as well. We look forward to joining our hearts in prayer throughout the day and being together again on Sunday morning.
Blessings…
